There are some days when you have to go against what the weather man or woman says!! As long as you have some back up!!

Today was the day for a slightly shorter dress.....!! BUT with my winter snow boots and heavy coat.... well they were my back up ... thank goodness for that eh ..... it rained most of the afternoon and was b....y cold!!!!




I really love the shape of this little number... worn with my 50s alpine woolie....

Sometimes there are upsides to not getting your Christmas present at Christmas.....YOu see my dear chum Nancy kept forgetting to give me mine!..... and now with Spring coming there was never a better time for presents!!

This lovely sweet little sewing machine necklace by Gypsy Warrior is so cute!! I just had to show you..... plus the cool packaging! The lovely little purple box from 'Paperchase' acts as a little backdrop!

Hmmm not the best day.... not feeling too chipper!! So old Betty Zee is going to take it easy..... but then suddenly I realised that I had been sorting and clearing for the last 3 hours ready for the car boot clear out on the 26th March at the Massive Denham Roundabout Car Boot Sale!!

I will have a big carload of bits and pieces!!

So just a pair of leggins, baggy tea shirt but nice and toasty mohair 80s cardy!

Saturday..... rain rain rain.... horrible day to be out and about!! Had a little trip to the hairdresser to see the lovely Sharon who did her magic on me .... there is only so much that can be done!!

Friday... who doesn't like Fridays! What a jolly good day!! Hard going at work lots of stuff to do and only because Susan looked at me and did the 'camera sign and a quick nod of the head' I definitely would have forgotten to have my pictures taken by her!!
So this little 50s number unusual in that it is not floral and lots of dots and stripes....interesting eh... teamed with a 50s cream and white beaded cardy with my little tiny shoes ( which truth be known are beginning to kill moi) hmm might have to take them back to the menders to see if they can be stretched again!!! oh dear!!

Oh and by the way I am not wearing a sweetcorn bracelet!!! Just in case since that is what everyone tells me hahah!!

Is it me or is Spring in the air. They say it was the warmest day of the year!! So of course I felt like wearing a little 50s lady!! But even though there are happy vibes in the air there was still a cool chill around my neck so to meet the challenge of two seasons..... a little fur collar... and it worked all day!!

Folksy day today... I have a few of different folk styles and now as the weather is getting milder its time to bring them out.... just before going to my ZUMBA class I thought I would try to get up to date with my little postings! I am also going to open my shop on Folksy it is about time I got going with that and Etsy!!! Anyways.....

There is lovely gold embroidery on this dress on the shoulders as well across the top at the back.. (see details) Also great 70s owl heavy gold necklace and gold choker from ebay about 7 years ago...

Thanks again to Susan... oh and a quick word about ZUMBA ... it is fab!! I highly recommend it and if there is a way that I can do a posting on ZUMBA then I will but how can you make a Latin exercise class related to crafting and vintage is beyond me.... but I won't give up!!

Alert! Diamante watch!! Like I was saying just taking out the little trinkets and start dusting away the cobwebs!! The necklace is a little 60s number...

Well I don't know I just haven't had time to do my daily update.... terrible state of affairs... not until I got home after a little drinkie did I get a chance to take a photo!

Creative Soft Toy Making by Pamela Peakes what a great colourful and informative book if you like making toys!! AND even if you don't it doesn't matter the pictures are very sweet! I love the fact that the toys are all placed in the forest and almost look like a little fairytale collection of 'beings'...I imagine 'Pixar' would have a field day!!

Also, a little side note is that during one of my charity shop adventures I came across a childs play pram from the 1940s! It is almost identical to the one in one of the pictures! Take a lookie...

This skirt is an unusual 70s little lady, looks like denim all pieces together, with my little 80s sweatshirt and 70s padded ski jacket... now where is that snow!!

Well silly me I forgot my camera so have had to ask Nancy to take my picky at Pop Boutique my favourite vintage shop! (separate posting to come!) So the quality isn't so good eh!! Never mind I am sure this lovely lady will be taken for a swirl again...

This cheeky lady had a ruffled skirt part to her dress .... and the pendant is heavy and long but not necessarily vintage!!
