This morning I pulled back the curtains and there behold the first proper Winter snow....

Another outing for the blonde 70s coat jacket....




... my new Winter walking boots, slip free me hopes for the rest of the Winter...

can't believe I forgot to put my little 'z' on this morning...

a gorg 50s skirt with artist palates all over it with this standard 80s belt...






Finally, the close ups of the felted flower brooches that have been into production in Betty Zee towers for the last week or so... enjoying making them and wearing them....

I had to take today off as since I live so far from work I would never make it in due to the tube strike!! So I took myself to the local retail park and had a look for Christmas decorations ....opps forgot that there is a massive shoe shop next door... well the major advantage was that they had a mirror!! But as you can see it needed a clean.... I had to do a very quick a shifty take of photos!!!!

Todays outfit was really for the weather ....

a blonde fake fur 70s jacket coat, mohair scarf...



...70s dress over a thermal top... I know not very chic....!




... but what a print...... shame about the mirror...

Up cycling

I felt this morning was a time to re-jig my kitchen and start using some of my lovely finds but ..




Who says that a 30s vase can't double as a utensil holder, a Victorian watering jug as a knife and fork and spoon carrier and a Hornsea lidless casserole dish as a plant holder.....




..... or a Hornsea ceramic tea caddy as a plant pot or..........



a childs potty as a cat treat pot.....

.....hmmmmm....don't worry all pots used in the post have been very very well washed especially the potty!!!

Today since it is a Sunday I have some errands to run... a quick look in the local DIY store, some food shopping and....a trip for my Sunday coffee frappacino... so what if it is snowing outside...




so sometimes I venture into the 80s........once expereinced never forgotten ... 80s ski jacket ....




and this little jumper dress ..... Well it is a Sunday! Thank you to the lady in Starbucks who took the picky, even though it was busy.....!

It was a very fruitful day for me looking around my local charity shops....



A lovely vintage basket ..and two tapestries from the 1930s...



.... and too top it off a fabtastic 50s teapot....oh how lucky I am...

Well we have reached another weekend ... Every weekend I won't have my trusty photographers to take the photos so have to try it the old fashioned way...

For a trip around my local charity shops I have to think practical but warm! It has been lightly snowing early this morning. But luckily it has stopped so I can venture out... by then time I took these photos the snow had disappeared for the day.....


This is my fab 50s vintage cardi with flying ducks across the front.....

It was a very productive day and now I really need a cup of hot choc ....Of course when I get home I always jump into one of my kaftans ....

This morning I think I set my heating to come on a little too late as it was very chilly in Betty Zee Towers. Booboo and roobarb were still asleep under their crochet kitten blankets....

I however had to get up to earn the daily pound..... in view of the fact it is supposed to snow later I thought as I was running to get the train that I was glad that I put on this fab 70s sheepskin jacket....



and my new little knitted scarf ..... the crochet collar had a 2nd outing of the week!....



I've had this little mohair 60s cardy for a while and never fails in her duties to keep me warm....


... I was half asleep and couldn't find the fabulous 70s dress's belt...boo hiss... so for today forgive the belt...





I love my little collection of 80s birds.... a seperate post is coming....

So I awoke this morning to a very light dusing of snow and then heard we were going to have the first proper cold snap of the Winter and thought well you had better dress for the white stuff....



I do love these Eskimo coats and have a couple of them... my other will be out I am sure very soon...


... the little alpine cardigan keeps out the draughts .....



... with a fabtastic crochet collar that I got from my friend Nancy's friend.... very warm....



.....with my late 50s velvet dress with a darling little belt with a bow .....



...and another of my little felt flowers....

Get Well Card

Well my little sis had an op recently and I thought I would like to make her a little card



.....she is now making a full recovery..xxx (not because of the card I have to add haha!)

Well today I've got a hot date with the dentist and going to have my wisdom tooth out.... luckily I will be away with the fairies when they do it.... but I thought this is not a dress or skirt wearing activity!!



It's also supposed to snow...... yes right!



I do adore this lovely broach she is so cute me thinks.....








You see where I work it is a bit chilly as the heating keeps going down! So I came prepared with my 1920s hand embroidered wool shawl (I might do a seperate post on this little number!)



The beading on this and my little top is all hand done.... you just can't beat the 1950s for it's excusite beaded cardigans....

It is certainly getting colder! This morning when looked at my little wardrobe I was feeling a little bit pink so my hand reached for this lovely lady! ........with my Winter early 60s wool jacket she hides...


I know it the neck warmer is fur but ......



these cheeky little boots were from TK Maxx quite a few years ago... they've done me well, even if the under part of the heal has fallen off and I am walking on nails!



Another of my little felt flower brooches.... I think I need to open an etsy shop!
