Hand crafted Felt Cushion 5

I made this for my chum Liisa for Christmas out of some fantastic thick vintage felt that I happened upon some 6 months ago!! The only trouble was was that I made it before I found a cushion pad! It was my first attempt and then I didn't take a picture of it ... thanks to Liisa I do now and I have been able to upload it!

Well I popped into town today to see a film with my sis! We thought that we might like to see 'Little Fockers' Not bad but not as good as the first two!! Anyhow, if you just take it for a little light cinematic fun with a couple of cringe worthy moments then go see it. We both thought that Owen Wilson stole the show!!







My early 60s dress with it's Autumnal colours was the lady of day...



Glad I put on my little alpine cardi as it was cold in the cinema!

Hand crafted Cushion 4

So Tricia came to visit and I thought for Christmas why not make her a cushion. She loves deep dark colours that are warm! I had this great wool sample fabric and I bought a feather cushion to put a pad in. It looks much smaller than it is! It still measures about 15 inches. Placed on a mohair blanket that I have had for a little while!!

Well it was a busy day. My friend Tricia came up to visit at Betty Zee towers! Seemed like a good idea to wear a little looser 60s dress ... all the Christmas turkey!!

Hand crafted Cushion 3

I made this for Jenny I know that she loves neutral colours and thought that the wool fabric that I found and doily would look nice together! Over lunch I gave her the little present! I do believe that she liked it very much!

Well a busy day was had by all I think!! The sales are ON!! I went down to meet my good friend Jenny but we decided against shopping and thought that a nice lunch would be better!!

Well I had a little visit with my little sis for hot choc and flap jacket just to have a little Christmas catch up!

I thought well my little velvet Jilly dress would be just the thing with its gorgeous ribbon trim and patterned bodice and hem! The snow is still here so have to wear those little furry boots... I think that they go with almost everything!!

Well I had to make my dear chum Nancy a boat themed cushion I only hope that...

1 ... she is too busy with Christmas to check the blog (the only time that I hope she doesn't) 2, still loves boats!! and 3, have time (in a couple of days) to meet up when she gets back from seeing her folks !!.. can't wait to see her face when she opens her present!!...

Thank you again Liisa what a fantastic pair of fingerless gloves I got from Liisa AND she crafted them herself! The tag is also crafted and not mass made! Unfortunately, I can't do them justice by putting my hands in... I'll see what I can do...

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL ON CHRISTMAS DAY....



In order to be able to leave enough room for Christmas dinner I had another of my kaftans on! Hmm lots of room to grow!!

Oh it is Christmas eve...Had to pop into town to meet my lil sis to exchange presents as we wouldn't see eachother on Christmas day.....


So I decided to wear my little 50s woolen dress....



as it is a little big around the middle I thought it was perfect for my amazing 70s resin belt....





...and 70s gold pendant...








Nothing wrong and infact everything right about mixing the decades....

Stayed at home today and wanted to relax ready for the Christmas celebrations...




... wearing one of my many kaftans... this one is a little different as it has a hood....

Well today was the day after the heavy snow that we had!! I thought I would take a little stroll up to the garden centre! They have a little cafe there and I thought well it is quite a walk and a nice hot choc would be a good reward... if of course it was open!!

Being on the edge of the countryside I thought you have to wrap up for your walk so I put on my other favourite eskimo coat

Along the way I just couldn't not record the wonderful fresh snow......
